2025 Ford Bronco: A Blank Slate

2025 Ford Bronco: A Blank Slate

The Blank Slate Bronco.  That’s the nickname given to the white 2025 Ford Bronco that I bought on New Year’s Eve 2025.  I did not plan to buy a new vehicle that morning, but the stars aligned and I ended up with the white Bronco shown above. White is not my favorite vehicle color, however, it is a great base for the customizations l like to perform.

Purchase Process

I had a really good experience when I bought my 2024 Ford Ranger in November 2024, so I returned to the same dealership to buy a new vehicle.  My sales consultant, Cary Crouch with Blackwell Ford, is extremely accommodating and helped me with my selection.  He is about my age and has a dry sense of humor.  My kind of guy!

As I described in the Carvana article, I was getting tired of the characteristic vibration with the Ranger.  That’s why I met with Cary on New Year’s Eve to see what year-end deals were available.  The Maverick Hybrid and Bronco have been on my wish list, so I started with questions about those. Cary knows me well by now, so he suggested I drive a Bronco first.  I took it on an extensive test drive to make sure it was free of vibration and unwanted noises.  I was impressed with the test drive, so returned to the dealership.

Upon my return from the test drive, Cary shared that I was eligible for $4,500 in incentives in addition to the Ford X-Plan price.  Did I still want to look at the Maverick?  Nope!

I really wanted a Desert Sand Bronco, but none were in stock.  A dealer trade couldn’t be done before the incentive deadline, so I went with the white one in inventory.  I sold the Ranger to Carvana on the morning of January 2nd and picked up the Bronco that same day.

Blank Slate Ideas

If you take a look at the many articles in the Repairs/Mods section, you will see my love of vehicle graphics.  Between my Cricut vinyl cutting machine and the Dremel 3D printer, I have many options for customization.

My first area of attention will be the sides of the truck.  The rear quarter panel is calling out for a Bronco graphic.  In addition, a bodyside molding or door armor also makes sense.

Beyond the graphics, I still have the wheels from my Ranger that are the exact size as the Broncos.  Ironically, I painted a set of Bronco wheels green (see Wheel Color: Green Is The New Black), but those stayed on the Ranger.  The original Ranger wheels might look good painted the same green, so I will try that once the weather warms.  As with all customizations I perform, these will be low dollar/high impact mods. It also needs to be reversible.  That is my Prime Directive.

Final Thoughts

For the Blank Slate Bronco, I will detail all of my modifications in separate articles.  This will make it easier for other Bronco fans to easily find things to do with their vehicles.

I promised my wife that I will slow down my vehicle trade cycles, so I need to make this one last.  I do need to get clarification if that applies to vehicle additions.  That might be my loophole.
