2021 Northwood University Auto Show

For the past 58 years, Northwood University has hosted the nation’s largest outdoor exhibition for automotive brands and aftermarket companies. The Northwood University International Auto Show (NUIAS), held at the beginning of each academic year, has been completely student-led since its founding in 1964.

Over 73 automotive brands and exhibitors will have products on display this year on the Northwood University campus.  This will include new vehicles and aftermarket parts and accessories providers.

For those of you in the market for a new vehicle, this is the show to visit.  With dealer inventories at all-time lows, this will be your best opportunity to cross-shop your vehicle choices in a safe, tranquil and spacious outdoor setting.

Largest Student Run Auto Show

According to Taylor Timoszky, General Chair of this year’s event, this is the largest new car outdoor auto show in North America run 100% by students.  Last year’s show was held virtually due to COVID, so restarting an in-person show was a challenge.

Taylor (pictured above) and her auto show executive board of 18 students are leading this year’s show with renewed energy.  The theme of this year’s show is aptly named CHARGED!

Added Bonus: Cars and Coffee

In addition to the new car auto show, the students have organized a “Cars and Coffee” activity that takes place during the show hours on Saturday, October 2nd.

This year, in an effort to include not only more vehicles but more guests, they have chosen to open the registration to all makes, models and years. They encourage guests to not only bring their classic cars but new vehicles as well!

This is a nice way to demonstrate the love for cars from those attending the show.

Registration for the Cars and Coffee is now open.  Please reserve your spot by completing the registration form HERE.

Northwood University Automotive Programs

Northwood University is a private university in Midland, Michigan.  They have around 2,000 students for a wide variety of marketing and management programs.

Two of those programs are dedicated to the automotive industry:  Automotive Marketing and Management and Automotive Aftermarket Management.  Both programs do a great job of preparing students for careers in the automotive industry, whether it be with an auto manufacturer, dealer, aftermarket suppliers or any number of agencies.

I plan to be at the show on Saturday, and hope you can attend this year’s event to see these students in action.  They are working hard to produce an auto show that will give you a chance to see a greater variety of new vehicles in one setting than anywhere else at this time.

You won’t find any empty inventory lots at this show!
